The work of Swedish artist Josefin Tolstoy brings together strong compositions with a vibrancy and vivacity of colour through oil paint on canvas. Sisters II reflects these concepts as the two central characters are brought together through their flowing black hair, offset against a series of vibrant and muted tones in blue, white and brown. The connection between the two women reflects their role within society - often picking up the pieces in times of need, and the importance of a support network of women around the world.
