Pulling from the experiences of long summer days spent in her adopted Vienna home, French-Romanian artist Ana Popescu has created Les Vacances 03. Rich with texture, the wax pastel composition merges organic grasses with the geometric lines of a pool and surrounding environment. A single shirtless figure sits comfortably between dips in the refreshing water, reminiscent of the relaxed pace of slow summer days spent by the pool.
